PLT Health Introduces a New Water-Dispersible Version of RipFactor
PLT Health Solutions has launched a new water-soluble form of its RipFactor Muscle Accelerator ingredient. This botanical complex has been enhanced to improve taste and functionality, making it ideal for use in various products such as ready-to-mix powders, greens, protein powders, stick packs, gummies, and other formats where flavor and performance are crucial.
The ingredient utilizes advanced particle engineering technology originally developed for pharmaceutical uses, which includes sophisticated milling, encapsulation, taste masking, and unique granulation methods.
This innovation was spearheaded by PLT’s internal formulation team alongside Pharmachem Innovations, a renowned supplier and technology expert in the nutraceutical field.
According to Brett Bernier, director of sports and active nutrition at PLT Health Solutions, botanical complexes often pose significant formulation challenges. “Botanicals can be tricky to work with due to their flavor profiles and issues with particle size and density,” he explained. “Typically, these are managed by delivering them in tablet or capsule form. However, with the new water-dispersible RipFactor, we’ve created a formulation-friendly solution that addresses these challenges and opens up new possibilities for incorporating this ingredient into various products.”
At this year’s SupplySide West, PLT will introduce the PLT Experience Zone at their booth, showcasing RipFactor as part of their beverage and ready-to-mix platform. The display will also feature other ingredients like Zynamite S for mental and physical energy and recovery, and Cellflo6 for endurance and enhanced blood flow.
