Three Studies Show Metabiotic Supplement Improves Metabolic Health Indicators
admin September 13, 2024 ArticleStellar Biotics recently publicized the outcomes of three clinical trials suggesting that Del-Immune V Defense, a metabiotic supplement, could offer considerable health benefits to individuals suffering from metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes and Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD).
Carried out earlier this year, the trials comprised of participants with type 2 diabetes, MASLD, or Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). These participants were administered the metabiotic supplement, Del-Immune V Defense, a derivative of probiotic bacteria, L. rhamnosus DV, which Stellar Biotics describes as the residual components post bacteria deactivation, that confer health benefits due to their specific chemical structure.
Liubov Sichel, Stellar Biotics’ co-founder, CSO, and CEO expressed excitement over the study results, acknowledging their potential in positively impacting the global population affected by persistent metabolic disorders.
One of the trials, aimed at participants with type 2 diabetes, assessed the efficacy and safety parameters of Del-Immune V Defense, with twice-daily oral dosage. The researchers kept track of the the changes pertaining to major diabetes markers such as HbA1c, signaling blood sugar concentration, fasting plasma glucose, insulin-production by pancreatic beta cells, insulin responsiveness, and body measurements.
After following a course of three months supplement administration and a similar time period of washout, the research group identified that the metabiotic intake led to superior enhancement across monitored parameters than a placebo group that witnessed either minor improvement or worsening of the same parameters. Moreover, the subjects who received the treatment lost nearly 7.45 pounds on average, as opposed to the placebo group where no weight change was observed. This was along with a larger reduction in BMI, waist circumference, total body fat, and visceral fat.
The research team also carried out a couple of randomized, controlled trials in 2024 to determine the potential effect of the metabiotic on fatty liver conditions, principally MASLD and NAFLD.
Researchers gauged the participants’ liver function using three indicators: liver fat density, the hepatorenal index (evaluating excess fat in liver cells), and liver stiffness, which hints at tissue damage and scarring. Post three months, the metabiotic-intake group demonstrated significant improvement across all parameters, with lower liver fat and stiffness, pointing out some reduction in the scarring. Conversely, the placebo group showed minor improvements or deteriorations in these areas. Both groups, nevertheless, received standard medical treatments alongside either the metabiotic supplement or placebo.
Expressing his views on the studies, Sichel emphasized how the probiotic-derived metabiotic supplement, Del-Immune V, showed great promise in managing type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease alongside regular treatments. He reiterated that it was a safe, effective, and side-effect free supplement, making it a perfect choice for those who wish to improve not just metabolic but overall health.
