Sabinsa’s Kunigal Production Site Earns Award for Sustainability
Sabinsa, a leading manufacturer, has been recognized with the Environmental Sustainability Award from Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) in India. The award applauds the company’s exceptional efforts in promoting health, safety, and environmental practices at its Sami Kunigal production site.
The acknowledgement highlighted the plant’s adherence to safety procedures, encompassing emergency exit routes, fire extinguishers, safety equipment, and an effective hydrant system. The plant also offers immediate emergency aid services and operates an occupational health center to cater to empoyees’ health and well-being.
On the environmental front, Sabinsa has taken various measures like establishment of a self-sustaining boiler chimney for handling emissions in accordance with PCB norms. The company has also adopted a forward-thinking, zero-liquid discharge method for managing wastewater, ensuring that no industrial waste is disposed of in the environment.
